Jushin Liger will be working ROH later in the year.
Anybody have any thoughts about this?

Hopefully CTU will be joining him there...I can only hope he's totally heelish...
It could lead to some great matches...I only wish he was working the Philly 10/2 or Chicago 10/16 shows...

This move means one thing for the Japanese - money.
Uei, the former UWF-Inter boss, thinks there is money with ROH. Others in New Japan don't.
And don't think the kiddie scandal (despite Feinstein being gone) hasn't gone unnoticed in the Japanese inner circles, especially DSE.

Total Nonstop Action should take notes looking at what Ring of Honor is doing because RoH is expanding and it has wrestlers fans wants to see.
Liger should be great in America, can't wait to see what happens.

[Total Nonstop Action should take notes looking at what Ring of Honor is doing because RoH is expanding and it has wrestlers fans wants to see.] Why should two companies who aren't always solvent be taking notes from each other? Ring of Honor is an enigma to the wrestling business. It's a business model that doesn't have major league growth potential, but at the same time it's a formula you can't just copy anywhere else and apply because of the assets involved to run in the limited business format it is in. Again, neither company in my opinion right now should be looked at in terms of a successful business model - until solvency is no longer a main issue/question. [Liger should be great in America, can't wait to see what happens.] He'll do what he's done in the past whenever he's worked for a promotion outside Japan - be one of the boys, win everyone over with charm, then take the money and run and eventually take talent with him, further dealing business his way to the international promoters who are blind to see it. Hence "Trojan Horse." But don't let me stop your fantasy dreams of seeing him live. [That's over with. RF is gone, let it go. And who cares what DSE think, that has nothing to do with it.] Wouldn't put it past DSE to try to give guys ultimatums for who to work for based on the Hustle contracts and the fact that guys working for DSE are also working for a company in America who is starting to tie-up with their financially poorer rival in Japan, New Japan. This is why you generally do not do business with Japanese wrestlers/pro-wrestling businessmen in the United States if you are a promoter - because you subject yourself to losing talent and losing control of guys who are getting booked outside the country. ROH already has enough complications at this moment trying to keep the booking going with guys back and forth from Japan, and I don't see this trend continuing to stop with Liger coming - especially since Japan wants cheaper talent and Jr. Heavyweights at that. It's an attempt at a short-term credibility play that in the long run could hurt them. Zach

TNA should take notes from RoH because RoH is getting stars from Japan and expanding internationally and building up a cult following (or whatever you want to call it)

Who in ROH works HUSTLE shows? Homicide is the only regular that has worked one.
And Im pretty sure NJPW and Liger are atleast somewhat familiar with the talent in ROH with American Dragon and the Havana Pitbulls working there. There is very few people in ROH that could even attempt to make it in New Japan anyway.
Oh, and the difference between ROH and TNA is ROH fans are willing to spend money on the product, TNA fans...

Well, seeing as though Lyger is working 2 shows I don't really see much potential for talent theft. If anything, AmDrag has been working NJPW tours on and off for a while now, and even held the IWGP Jr tag belts for a while. And for now, he shows no sign of going to New Japan permanantly.
Most of the cases of 'Lyger stealing talent' has com from longer relationships, and almost always inside of Japan. I really don't think anyone in the US right now should be worried about losing workers to Lyger or New Japan.

For some odd reason, and I pray that I'm wrong. I can see RoH booking Lyger to join Special K on the first night, and then open up the second show, with him coming out with them and raving (or whatever its called)
If Special K is no longer around, take that as a sign that I'm horribly outdated with RoH and their happenings.

Their "11/6 Elizabeth tickets go on sale at the 9/11 show" idea is gold because good seats on 11/6 are guaranteed to sell out, so they thus drive up demand for 9/11 tickets. Sneaky but smart.

Rumored matches are for the first night, a tag involving Joe, Ki, AmDrag and Lyger.. For the second night a singles match with one of the previous, most likely AmDrag or Ki.

I live in Southern Mass - hopefully I can make it up for the first show! ;D Too bad it's in Revere instead of Braintree - Revere is a scummy area... all kinds of 'gangsta-wannabees' hanging out on the corner and stuff.
