Kea vs Sasaki, #1 contender match in a few weeks. Chances are Kea goes over because he's the one getting the build (and if they wanted Sasaki vs Kawada, Sasaki would have won the carny).
Fujita vs Sasaki is likely to be the next IWGP match. So we have the Triple Crown contender beating the IWGP contender head-to-head just before the IWGP match. Could be the sneakiest booking (not involving himself) in Mutoh's tenure to date.

That sounds like it makes sense, but i have one question.
I know Sasake in now a freelancer, and can accept bookings and do the job for anyone if he sees fit but.....
I really cant see New Japan being happy with this situation. Despite being a freelancer, Sasake still does most of his work for New Japan. In which case, do you think New Japan are likely to exert any pressure on Sasake not to do the job, probably meaning some completely screwjob finish?
Does Sasake make these decisions completely independently, or does New Japan have any influence? And if New Japan vetoed the match or tried to have input over the finish, do you think Sasake would consider it or just reject it immediately?

I personally think it will just be business as usual, Kea jobbing to Sasaki.

But Kawada's TC defense comes AFTER the Fujita IWGP. Fujita is beating Sasaki. Would Mutoh really book an angle with Kea only to have him lose to Sasaki EVEN WITH Sasaki's value dropping off after a job just a few weeks prior in New Japan?
I mean I know Mutoh sucks, but this would be going out of his way to suck.

Either way it goes, Kea/Kawada won't draw as well as Kawada/Sasaki. If you're looking to make money to stay alive, that's where it's at there. I don't think Kea/Kawada would get 2,000 legit.
9/25 - Korakuen: Kea vs. Sasaki - Sasaki wins, because NJ wouldn't want someone in their main event jobbing to a person the caliber of Kea.
10/9 or 10/10 I forget - NJPW: Fujita vs. Sasaki - I don't like/care for NJPW, but everyone say's Sasaki will lose. If Sasaki loses, he doesn't lose much because of his incredible comeback this year.
10/31 - Sumo Hall: Kawada vs. Sasaki - Certainly the better draw no matter what happens. Kawada wins, looking to keep his belt, marching foward into the Real World Tag League.
Of course, AJPW has two tours between today and 10/31 so anything can happen. (http://oudoulove.shiningwizard.com)
- Basically, it might come down to NJPW not being willing to let Sasaki lose to Kea right before his IWGP match, and they'd pull a power play. Sasaki could make more money in NJPW. So instead of rebooking the whole series, AJPW might just look like Muto does and have Sasaki go over Kea, ending Kea's push for the month.
