I'm not sure I understand Sugiura's placement on this poll. I guess the lack of votes speaks for itself, but I'd like to know how exactly his career was so damaged by NOAH booking this year that he warrants a spot here.

I say Nagata should win the award as at least Tenzan won the IWGP title twice this year and a second G1 in a row. Lets look at Nagata's year.
Get beaten by Feder in 62 seconds at Bom-ba-ya.
Loses GHC Tag title to Misawa and Rat Boy.
Gets KO'd by Tenzan's moonsault in a IWGP title tournament that he had been booked to win.
Gets beaten by Red Scorpion in K-1's sumo event, S-1
Spend the first few months of the year feuding with a mid-card jobber (Nankanishi)
Wins AJPW World Tag Title with Kendo Kashin (a man who jobbed to Ms. Sasaki), but never defended the titles (and their still champions).
Boring matches with Chono.
Poor G-1.
Gets buried by Chono.
Demon Nagata taps out to Chono.
