Dr. Keith Lipinski Show Episode 5 recap with Akebono and 'The Fallen Angel' Christopher Daniels!

Akebono recap
Sumo wrestler, pro-wrestler, K-1 fighter and pie-eater, Akebono joins Dr. Keith. Keith asks Akebono how he got into pro-wrestling. Akebono talks about his love for the sport, and says he is having fun. He talks about the transition from MMA to puroresu. Keith asks if he is willing to work for any other promotion other than AJPW, NJPW, NOAH & WWE. Akebono name-checks TNA. He also name-checks The Dudleyz, A-Train and Jamal for helping him hone his style for professional wrestling.
The interview takes place just before Akebono's IWGP title match (he lost) with Brock Lesnar. Keith asks the difference between working with Brock and working with NOAH. Akebono confirms the rumour that he is 'not a very technical wrestler,' but is confident he can 'hang with anybody,' but struggles with 'technical' moves such as arm-bars.
Keith asks for Akebono's dream opponents in the future. Akebono lists Brock, Undertaker, Kurt Angle and Hulk Hogan. When asked, Akebono wouldn't mind a sumo match with the Hulkster. He puts over Big Show for respecting sumo during their WWE match. Keith asks about the status of sumo in Japan right now. Akebono knocks the lack of public relations in sumo as the reason for it's decline, but hopes K-1 will one day sanction sumo matches.
The Doc asks for Akebono's thoughts on the late Rodney 'Yokozuna' Anoia. Akebono talks about his relationship with Yoko, and being mistaken, or not, for the wrestler Yokozuna and making a little girl sad. Growing up, Akebono watched the likes of Don Muraco, Jimmy Snuka, Ricky Steamboat and Bruiser Brody growing up. He got started in sumo in high school because he was a good size.
Akebono feels he has made more progress in pro-wrestling then in K-1/MMA but would like to continue losing in K-1. An average day in the life is talked about including breakfast from 11-1! Akebono confirms his next K-1 fight will be on May 3rd in Japan. Keith asks about Akebono's won-loss record. Akebono likens it to Michael Jordan playing in baseball.
Akebono's favourite two matches have been with Big Show and A-Train. He also talks about working with Great Muta and as the Great Bono. The chops he received from Kenta Kobashi were 'very painful,' and he thinks he'll have a great singles match someday with Kenta Kobashi. On thoughts for Hustle; 'they do what they do.'
As well as wanting a rematch with Bob Sapp, Akebono feels he has another 7 or 8 years left in wrestling, and is 'waiting for the phonecall from the States. Keith's final question is what is the average of an average Akebono meal costs? 'You just eat until you become fat.'

'The Fallen Angel' Christopher Daniels Recap
Keith asks Christopher Daniels how his second X-Division title. 'It feels good.' He enjoys working as a babyface. Keith asks if it's possible for any combination of Joe, AJ and Daniels to have a bad match? Daniels felt like last PPV's match went quicker than expected. Could Joe have ripped down the ropes? No because he doesn't possess the 'strength of a Tyrannasaurus Rex.' Daniels feels like you have to try new things in an Ultimate-X match but feels there's a limit with the amount you can innovate. Keth asks if he feels the fans at the impact zone are getting burned out with the three-ways and great matches? Daniels feels it's not repetitive as they are having different matches.
Why wasn't Daniels in ECW for awhile. Daniels says it wasn't cost effective living on the west coast as his name wasn't a big deal at the time. Keith talks about appearing Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Spiderman which Daniels says is untrue, and was a rumour started by Samoa Joe. Daniels says that 'Joe got you to Keith.'
Keith then lists his other movie related questions are now redundant. Daniels confirms he was in the background of Beyond The Mat though. Sadly, Daniels can’t comment on Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie sparks on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
Keith talks about the problem Christopher Daniels has with Curry Man. Daniels says he 'hates curry, it just tastes awful.' On working with John Cena in UPW, Daniels could see the star in him, but didn't predict how big he became. Did Daniels ever grow up wanting to be a priest? He was a Catholic, and an altar boy, but this didn't influence the Fallen Angel persona.
Daniels talks about the crazy walk across the cage by Elix Skipper. He says that Skipper wanted to do it for awhile and doesn't think he can top it. Keith asks about the shoot punches between Daniels and AJ a few weeks ago on impact, which Keith notes almost broke the tivo watching again and again, Daniels replies that you 'hit your friends harder then your enemies.' Daniels talks about Japan and says the last move he brought back was the Koji Clutch. e talks about the etiquette behind borrowing moves from other wrestlers.
Keith asks the Fallen Angel about New Japan wrestlers in TNA. Daniels talks about the similarities between Shinsuke Nakamura and Samoa Joe and hopes the fans don't expect X-Division style as he works heavyweight style. Daniels looks at how the wrestlers today still watch Japanese tapes. Keith asks about his recent knee operation with Daniels saying he had no expectations of wrestling being an injury-free sport.
The Doc asks if Daniels felt inclined to hurt the Prince of Punk during their Impact match after the latters defection to WWE. Daniels says he wasn't aware of that until after the match. Daniels says he had to vacate a Zero-One belt due to TNA commitments. On being asked about working for Hustle; 'I don't think I'd go to Hustle as I have still have a good relationship with New Japan.' Keith also asks about his minions in TNA, he tells us two of them are still wrestling and one was on the TBS reality show “He’s a lady.”
After talking about TNA, Keith asks about Low Ki. Daniels says that Low Ki has his principles, 'he's made his decisions and is willing to live by that.' He puts him over over and wishes he'd come back to TNA. Daniels talks about his DVD doing well and talks about his favourite three matches which are somewhat better then Akebono's favourite.
Keith asks about the TNA show being moved from Primetime (no, not Elix Skipper). Daniels is 'very happy that they have done so,' as he realises that TNA have the same demographic as the Ultimate Fighter. Christopher Daniels also talks about ROH, Super-8 and the cardio required for long matches. His advice for young wrestlers is to 'work as often as you can, as many different places as you can, and against as many different people as you can.' The wrestlers he likes to watch today include AJ, Joe, Colt Cobana, Low Ki and others 'I can be here for over half hour,' 'But how many apart from your friends?' replies Keith.
And Keith's final question? 'Who decided you would be Conquistador dos?' whilst in WWE. Class.
