This bears repeating: recycling bins are EVERYWHERE in Japan. It's unreal. Such... civic responsibility.

And to think, when I didn't have a job I was going to run that same scam in the US. Well with the only exception was going to be me playing the part of the homeless person and the mob boss. I could just imagine the money I would be making if I had done that.

I have observed the Yakuza getting up to all manner of crazy schemes over the years, including:
Selling stolen Pocari Sweat in nightclub bathrooms in Shibuya
'Buying' large chunks of seats at wrestling shows, then handing them out for free at local ramen houses
Paying homeless people to fly to Bangkok to buy counterfit jeans
Standing around in Kabukicho trying to get f**ked Gaijin to apear in their AV's "You want f**k? we video"

Although obviously, the main persuit of the young Yakuza recruit is standing around in the rain at 3am holding a sign for "Chinese massage" in Roppongi
